Christmas Studio Shoots 2012 !!

As promised a couple weeks ago, here's some shots from some of the Christmas shoots we've had in these studio this year. From baby "Watch Them Grow" shoots to family shoots to mad work-do and friends PartyShoots to engagement/"Save The Date" shoots for forthcoming weddings! 

It's all been good fun!  Hope everyone had a great Christmas! Here's to a great new year also!!

New designs for PhotoBooth & Save The Dates

Ok so I've wanted to give the PhotoBooth and our weddings as a whole more of an identity.  

The whole vintage thing is MASSIVE right now but mainly the reason for this style is because I'm fully in LOVE with these fonts I've found and tailored to make fit our work.

First up is the PhotoBooth signage. This an example of a graphic for our PhotoBooth. When printed it's on textured cream card in a gold gilt frame hung from one of our artist easels at your wedding venue.

As part of some of our engagement shoots a couple of our Brides & Grooms asked if they could be done as "Save The Dates" to send out to their friends and family over Christmas.  I took the opportunity to put together a couple designs in a similar style to the PhotoBooth signage but also using their wedding theme colours.

Carley & Stuart (right) wanted to combine the design I did with some of the shots taken from their engagement shoot.

Coffee & Catchup

Had a lovely coffee and catchup with Carley for her wedding in June 2013. Her and Stuart are getting hitched at Cleve Spa Hotel near Wellington in Somerset and having seen the madness that ensues at our PhotoBooth they're looking at adding it to their package!

TAX SCAM ALERT !

I got an email this morning that, when viewed on my phone,  through bleary eyes at 7am, looked legit.

I was excited!

Money back from the government from my taxes? Sounded to good to be true....and it was.

 

I then checked it on my laptop a bit later and it was instantly looking fishy (or phishy - which, incidentally, is where the word comes from - or so the knower of all things - Wikipedia - says).

Anyway, what gave it away when I saw it on the computer was the email address to which they sent this phishing, scam email; 20weddings@justinkrause.co.uk ...yeh ok good effort, where did they get that email from?  It doesn't exist. It only got through because we have a "catch-all" set up for the email server (in case anyone spells "contact", "weddings", or "LittleBear" wrong.)  If they wanted to REALLY catch me out they could at least have used my proper email address...it's out there freely, don't be so ruddy lazy "Mr William Fulton from Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs".

What's the moral of the story?

Watch out for scams kids and don't click random links or download dodgy looking files! 

 

The chances that any government will give you money back is slim to none. Never get your hopes up for that. If they do, they've probably made a mistake and will want it all back (usually after you've spent said rebate and usually at the most inconvenient time).
