The awards are an annual competition recognising some of the most popular wedding vendors at a local, national and international level.

We'd do what we do regardless of award status and always to our utmost quality and dedication but it means so much more to have the support from you all for something we love doing!

Verity & Gary's engagement shoot!

Hi everyone! Very sorry for the total inactivity here on the blog but we've been so busy it's unreal. Given the choice to update the blog or do shoots/edit all the shoots I've obviously had to do the latter.

It seems the baby photography along with it, our sister company Little Bear Hand & Feet Castings has really come into it's own but more on that in a future post...maybe in a few days if you're lucky ..who knows !?

In the mean time here's some shots from Verity and Gary's engagement shoot or more accurately a 'pre-wedding' "get to know us and how we work and for us to see how they react to the camera and to see how comfortable they are being the centre of attention with a massive camera in their face" shoot!

Even with a little bit of rain we had a LOT of fun along with some interesting comments from some locals and Verity and Gary both passed with flying colours just being so relaxed and a good laugh.

We can't wait to shoot your wedding next month!

As always, if you have any friends getting married, don't hesitate to recommend us so they can get in touch to chat about their wedding photography! We shoot all over the UK and Internationally. email: weddings@justinkrause.co.uk

Old meet new (ish)

I had had this thought when I first started collecting the vintage cameras a couple years ago. I then saw someone had done somewhere else and thought I'd give it a go when I had 5 spare minutes.

It took me a while to figure out which camera would fit best. I wanted to use the Butchers No.4 (c.1915 I think - correct me if I'm wrong) to the left but I couldn't get the shutter to stay open also the Butchers' body would have needed mounting further away from the 5d's body to allow me to get it off and on. I finally decided on the Vest Pocket Kodak Model B (c. 1925) from my little collection. Sure, it's worth some money, not a massive amount but the cameras are just sat there in the studio.

I wondered what it would be like to shoot through a near hundred year old lens...which then led me to thinking about all the things this lens might have shot and bearing in mind what the world has been though in the last hundred years I was sat daydreaming (and cringing) for quite some time...

I'm going to test this out this afternoon so more pics to follow!
